...so H. carpintis "Chariel", "Vontehillo", "Escondido" and "Laguna de la Puerta" are all within the same close area and the same watershed (the mouth of the Panuco River near Tampico).
I assure you that all of these fish are completely different, distinct populations. At least in name.
I guess the next question is: What is the process for commercially collecting and exporting LOTS of wild fish from Mexico?
