Why can someone say that one fish is more deserving of being used as a feeder, than another fish? Excluding the feeder being endangered, diseased, dangerous or otherwise.

All fish are food for something. All fish of size are food for humans. A predatory fish isn't likely going to look at a three different species of fish and only it one that it specifically chooses. It's likely going to eat em all in order of easiest catch.

Aside from the catfish being oversized, I don't understand how people can say that a goldfish should have been used instead. If I moved to South East Asia I'd eat cats and dogs, but here they are pets.

Nutrition should really be the biggest concern, but most aquatic predators likely don't have too much trouble being provided with the required dietary needs.
:iagree:
while i dont agree with the vid, the snake head has to eat as well
i have no problem with anything in the video except the tank size but that seems to be the least yall care about.
your peoples obsession is absolutly riddeculos. they gave it a fish. It ate the back were the poisonous fins were not. I feed live to my gar. Do I find it entertaining? Yes. Do I enjoy it? Yes. Does that make me messed up or a mean person? NO,NO,NO. Plain and simple, this is nature wether or not you agree with it. Big fish eats little fish. Life goes on. well not for the eaty:ROFL:

Would it possible to wean the snakehead on to alternative/dead food?
Yes its possible, they are not picky eaters.

Why? Because i feed mine live? or because the only thing that upsets me in that video is the size of the tank?

i would hate to do waterchange in that tank! big fish eat lil fish. whats new?

:iagree:Exactly

Again I do not agree with it. that catfish isnt excatly small fish. more like midsized fish which thats why this snakehead unable to swallow this catfish whole so he just took a chunk of the catfish, let the catfish suffer for longer periods.

This isnt really worth responding to (we never see eye to eye on things)
but he eats other fish. he ripped the back half off because there is poison barbs in the front of the fish(or so i read).
My gar attacks so violently that he sometimes rip the guts out of his feeders. Is this cruel? Should i not do it because of this?
walking catfish a common fish, so if i was there, i would not, WOULD NOT hesitate to throw one in for the snakehead
for those of us who feed live, a feeder is just that a feeder. NOW with that being said i dont think it is exactly right. I probably would give it smaller BUT i would still give it a larger fish if i had no small. Fish eat fish. Sometimes fish rip fish in half.
Just like humans. We are no different than that fish and if we were in its shoes we would do the same thing.
Just eat what we can and ditch the rest! This is life. Period. Do not condem the fish for doing that or the man who decided to give him a large treat.
