In the wild they eat clarius this size, whats wrong with replicating nature?

Neat vid, its like the 2 channa in that other vid thats floating around taking down an 8" clarius

What? You actually think this video's cool?:screwy:
That is NOT nature, as this snakehead cannot swallow whole catfish and left the catfish dying and uneaten. notice the snakehead lost interesting into the catfish after the first bite then just wait for the catfish to die...you are clearly disturbed dude.

MnRebel, please do not get "personal"....

Sorry Miguel, it wont be happened, even if next person say "Cool! Awesome snakehead ripped the catfish apart"!

oh by way its not natural for two snakehead take down a catfish as in the wild, they do not work together to hunt down their prey.

Beautiful SH but the video sux. Just another video of a fish dying a guesome death for the entertainment of it's owner. Sad IMO.

There's nothing wrong with using feeders but the feeder should be treated humanely. That catfish was not treated humanely.

But for what it's worth, I'm guessing after a sudden amputation of a quarter of its body the catfish will bleed out pretty darn fast and die pretty quickly.

Unforuntunatly you'd be surprised at how long fish can hang in there until they finally hit the bucket. Rugged animals to say the least.
Anyways, theres all sorts of videos like this on youtube, not just with fish, I saw a VERY gruesome one of a snapping turtle ripping apart a goldfish, and a nile monitor tearing apart a rat. Both were set to music to make it seem cool, intense, epic, what have you. I'm surprised that youtube keeps these videos on, i've notice they've taken off some other of their offensive videos latley, mabye they'll start removing these kinds of videos to.

Also, i agree whole-heartidly that fish should be fed smaller portions, mainly due to the mess tearing apart a fish has on water quality. Think about it, if a fish is eaten live, wouldn't it suffer much worse dissolving in the stomach of the bigger fish, Or would it sufficate realitivley fast? Sorry, this is just a thought that just popped into my mind.

When big fish eat small fish in wild, it's hunting.
When big fish eat small fish in captivity, it's suffuring.

Either way, the circomstances are constant. The fish needs to feed.

A different question would be if piscavores should be fed fish at all, when there are quality alternatives (Pellet food). If anyone one of us is to say, "Absolutely not, never", then without being a hypocryte they would need to be strict vegitarians. Our meat, livestock destined for human consumption (Not required to survive in good health) will suffer in some way or form, arguably far worse than the shown video.

Are we living in a fishtank of our own? Do you hold the same morals when it comes to your own diet, as your fishies?

Just some rhetorical observations.
