remembered a guy who brought back his pond filter because it wasnt cleaning his pond. he brought it back full btw its was crawling with bloodworm and green sludge and smelled worse than a tannery.

that big red button on the top that says "autolcenze" that we reccomended he depress once every other week and leave running for 30mins? he pressed it once over 6 months.

take it back you moron and listen to the advice we gave you 6 months ago.
 
LMAO, :ROFL: :ROFL: I get to deal with those kinda people all day. Having worked tech support and retail for a good long while I can completely understand what everyone has been through. The one thing that keeps me going is knowing that without these morons we wouldn't have jobs. My advice to all is drink heavily, grin and bear it :D:D!
 
Today, i was visithing BigAls to look for some fishes for my 25G tank and i saw an adult size (around 30cm ish) kafue pike fish (the store put up as xlarge African odoe something pike $99)..

Then I asked a sales rep to come over, cause I have a few questions about the fish.. I ask, do you know how old this fish is? Around 1-2 yrs old... What's the life's span of this fish? approx 15-20 yrs.. How big do they grow into? 1-2m... Then i ask, was this fish captive bred or wild caught? he said its some guy come and traded for credits.. and I ask.. i have an exact same fish and how much credits would i get from it? and he said its none of my business.. and such.. i was furious..

Then i told him the info was wrong, they only have a life span about 4-5 years and grow into 70cm.. And then he looks grumpy.. and kinda use a grumpy tone and said.. if you know about this fish, then why you ask me?
Are you trying to trick me? or make me look like a fool?

I mean if he doenst know about the fish, he should at least say i dont know or ask some one else with more knowledge.. and not telling me false information.. I wouldve beat him up if im a lil taller.. Anyway, i complainted to the store (too bad i didn't make big fuss about it)...
 
I have one about a retarded lfs employee. I went just shopping for fedd. I spotted a fahaka puffer, about 5in. This fool employee came and began to tell me the fish would not get much bigger and it was a brackish community type, docile. Clearly not knowing what he was talking about, I played his game and asked the salinity, he responds slowly with "5". Me, That's kind of low... Him, I mean "500"...Me "okay, what other fish could I keep with it?"...him, "anything from gold fish to fresh water lobster"...Me "I thought you said it was brackish? How do you get a fresh water crustiacian to live in a 500 ppm salinity?"

Anyways, it is not true to say that a person is not stupid, people are. Everyone has their idiotic moments, this dingleberry just took the taco that day.

Customer returned the fish, apparently it was too big. I believe this was mentioned at the sale. At least it is back where it can thrive for a little while, and maybe find a good home.

Maybe you shouldve ask how much for the puffer, maybe he will sell it to you for $5 ^^;; sweet deal! ^^
 
Heres one, A couple months ago I went to one of my LFS and asked if they could order me some fish, they asked what kind and I told them Managuense. The LFS ownder proceeds to tell me that thyey will not order such a fish as it is highly agressive and will kill an other tankmates. I told them I already know that they are slighlty agressive but i have seen them in communities many times over and I was going to try and get six juvi's and try to get a pair and once the pair is formed remove the others.

The LFS then asks me what size tank I plan to have and I say a 125 gallon, they then say that that is to small for six to wich I tell them I know this fact already, I am only going to keep six of them until a pair is formed.

They then tell me if you get six they will kill each other and I will have no fish at all to even for a pair.

I then ask them if they have seen this happen, to wich they tell me no, and that if I want agressive fish they could order me pirahana (wich are illegal in my state by the way)

I proceed to tell them I do not, and never have wanted pirahna to wich the LFS owner tells me Oscars are agresive enough and thats why she keeps them in there own tak with other oscars.

I tell her, thats you opinion and ask if she can still order me the fish, she says only from cichlid exchange, I then ask have you ever ordered from Jeff rapps, she replies, I only order from cichlid exchange because I ordered from another supplyer and had to order six blue berry oscars instead of one and that once she got them and added them to her tanks they killed everything then died.

I looked her straight in the eyes and left.


I have never bought anything there since...
 
I love it when fish store employees act smarter than the customers that should be working there. ERRRRRRRRRRR!
 
Oh, also this lady tells me "I hate cichlids, if your so mean why dont you meet my friend the alligator in the back!" Crazy lady!
