An old co-worker of mine had a bite on one of his reds, VERY similar to this. He quarantined that fish and succeeded at nursing him back to health. That surprised the hell out of me.
Hope it all works out.

Your reds have some nice coloration btw.
 
sorry man he ant gonna make it unless u get him in his own tank asap . i had 1 of my toughest p's get a big bit like that on his side by my 13inch carbi piranha and the next 2 days even after the slim coat proceder he was the weak one in the tank so the reset of them smelt the weekness and finshed him.

I think it's already surpassed your 2 day deadline. I'd say these kind of things are hard to predict. I'd never put money on it
 
the wound looks like is starting to heal but it's not eating yet, at least I've not seen it with my own eyes.
 
he will make it as long as they dont decide to eat him...if at all possible get him alone until its healed up

section off your tank or spare tank would work wonders ive had worse live
