wobbly stand and over a hair

I don't get why aquarists insist on building these strange stands. Frame the stands walls as if they're house walls (top and bottom plate with studs in between).

See. Now that makes way more sense as it sure looked bigger. I saw 29inches and thought gallons. Here is my advice on building a stand. Just down size it a little. The nice thing about building it this way is you can take it apart very easy into a few peices to move and make it as tall as you want. The plywood then holds it together and ads rigidity.

Ouch!
I build my own stands and that definitely does not look adequate.

First, I would not feel safe using 2x4's as studs - I imagine they are already bowing by now. 2x6's are the way to go with tanks 75 gal and up. And, only one stud in between the corners ? Eeks. At least two in between the corners (again, 2x6's) - at least.

And, you need cross braces, top and bottom. As it stands, there is nothing stopping all of the legs from collapsing all at once, in the same direction, if that makes sense.

It is always better to over-build, than have something to worry about constantly, until it fails.

So I have done got the extra 2x4s to brace and now the above tells me with that It is gonna fall. I have watched urajoeys vids and he builds them with 2x4s the way mine is when it will be fixed, even his stingray tank is built that why, So I feel atm like a paranoid till the gills what the hell is right or wrong, #@$% . Also between the frame under the plywood there is 2x4s running between. Have not seen an visible bowing

There is no one "right way" to do it - BUT, if you want to worry, that's up to you :) Personally I prefer to have absolute, 100% peace of mind.

so, in 4 corners were 2x4s come down, I am adding a 2x4 to the front, then another on the side, so the 4 outer corners will have three 2x4s a piece were as the middle with have an extra one on each side, as said the middle of frames have bracing between them, I cant redo the damn stand and don't have enough tanks or heaters to house fish to in time to reconstruct one, they will be in buckets with foam on top to trap heat and even with that they drop to 75 within an hour, I feel I am wits end

Get some 2x4 diagonal sections from top to bottom on the sides and a couple in the back top to bottom for lateral support.

Cast from my Ugly Stik across the great Pacific Ocean to you.

Don't forget cross beams - from front to back, both top and bottom, at each stud. That will stop bowing inwards/outwards, as well as provide more support underneath the tank bottom.
Good luck!
