your bgk will find the food if its hungry enough. when i first got my bgk i had it in a tank with my pictus catfish who is a vacuum when it comes to eating, the pictus would have half the food eaten before the bgk would know theres food in the tank. but there was some territory issues between them so i moved the bgk in with my guittarita and they get along fine. i've read on other ppls threads that some bgk will get picky and only eat one kinda food. so far i've lucked out and mine is hungry for anything. it gets live guppies every few days to keep it busy for the night. seems to take it a while to hunt down the little suckers but when i wake up in the morning its sporting a fat belly and theres not a guppy to be found.

My BGK loves sinking wafers - I can't seem to get enough into the tank so that the Cory's can have some. My BGK thinks they are like 'doggy treats' - I have even seen him do a 'back flip' to catch them before they hit the ground.

As soon as the bloodworm is gone he is off to check out the tank for 'treats'. He scours every inch of the substrate - a very thorough guy. I don't give him 'feeder fish' and none of his tank mates are live bearers - but he certainly enjoys it when the Corys or Danios spawn. He gets a really big belly and loses some of his interest in the bloodworms - not all interest but he is just not as excited as usual.

well i haven't found, or even looked for the night vision goggles, but i did find an led nightlight and the bgk doesn't seem bothered by it at all. i gotta hit up ebay for a better led light system tho. and i finally got a camera again, so pics coming up soon. hopefully later tonite. it will also eat out of my hand now. :D. its a really cool fish, i can't wait til its a monster. hehe.
hey gage, haha you found me. the bgk wolfed down all those little guppies i brought home, the pictus got a few too.

LMAO, good to know hes eating well hehe, but im surprised the pictus didnt get most of them, my 4-line pictus is quite the predator.
