Working dog or show standard?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Miguel those shoes are "Shepards Docksiders" the latest trend in BC sheep hearding wear...........lol

My boys are 80 and 100 lbs. The large one reminds me so much of my previous mastiff just a mini version.

Nice! I love the big ones too many I see now are on the small side. Have you noticed that in your area?

Yes they always get comments on their size. I've always owned larger dogs so to me they are small :). We love the mastiff style breeds but as our kids age we wanted dogs with higher energy to keep up and they are perfect for that.

Boxers are energy "indognated" :):)

They can take perfect care of the personal aspect, King...

Now you just have to introduce the roaming ones.

Get them young so Mama Boxer remains the leader for as long as possible.

Are you going to kennel them separately? I would

Nothing sissy about Lassie in my book. Other then she was a he but hey Hollywood is Hollywood. I think Collies are awsome dogs. A Dobi well they speak for them selfes two great ones Liz.

Thanks I'm glad you enjoyed it. Boxers have been a favorite of mine my entire life. When I was a kid we had an old type 95lb fawn male named Barron I don't see them that big anymore seem to have been bred down over the years.
thanks Tom..... they are a perfect match for each other...one slow and thinking.. the other fast and acting....... combination of such different aspects of personality always makes me laugh... i also always wanted to get a english bull terrier..... but of course now i am discovering other breeds that also interest me..

They do. It is exactly that.

And when they are young it is the rams that discipline them. When you have a pup that likes to play rough with the young sheep ( a trait to avoid at all costs, but it happens ) you put it in aclosed pen with a male ram and the pup gets the lesson of its life.
It's a bit off topic, but a woman here was killed by one of her own rams. she was working alone, he smashed her against a fence, breaking both legs badly. she wasn't discovered immediately, as she often worked alone. very soon in hospital, blood clots killed her.
