Workout Here We Go!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Your new plan sounds a lot better. I even eat at taco bell still, just stay on the fresco menu. I do not Mc Donalds anymore too greasy. I do have 5 guys from time to time, but I just get a hamburger and stop when I am full. I stay way from fried foods mostly.

For years I have been able to do a strict diet on weekdays and eat whatever I wanted on the weekend. This has allowed me to achieve the fitness goals I have for myself without giving up on the foods I love. The most important thing to consider is quantity, if you overeat healthy you will not have any more successs than eating sensible portions of junk food.

I got something pretty nice worked up now with a new App that is now available on WindowsPhone 7.

The app is called Run Keeper and its pretty awesome. It uses GPS to track where you run and gives you various stats. It shows you the speed youre currently going, your average speed, the distance that you have traveled, as well as your calories burned. Another great feature of this app is the map view. While or after youre doing your workout you can go into a map view and see where youre at. Probably the best part about this app is that it lets you save your progress... Example: You run 30 minutes and do 2 miles and burn 300 calories. Once youre done it lets you save all the information as well as add any comments of the run for future references.

The best part about it is that its FREE. At least for Android and WP7.

Another great feature is that you can track your progress over the web at their website, and they provide statistical charts showing you your weight loss, miles ran, time ran, as well as a horde of other charts. You can also even make it accesible with facebook and after you complete a run it will be automatically posted on FB for your friends to look and give you support.

IMO the best app i have and i love it.

From tomorrow on i will provide links to the website so you guys can see the route i ran and all the statistics of the run. I will still be updating on here of course but the charts give a more in-depth look at what im doing. It will also be useful if you guys would give some tips as to my pace, etc.

I would highly recommend this app to anyone that wants to lose some weight or track their fitness.

Well enough with that, now lets go into the workout for today.

Today i walked about 30 mins. with my mom and gf, but she had to head home. Then i walked/jogged with my gf for about 3.5 miles and then went home... I am trying to see if the website will let you guys view the route, let me know.

Today i ate a little bit of steak in the morning before working out, and after working out ate about 2 hours later at my sisters house. I ate some ribs and chicken.

SOrry about the uber long post but i hope you guys find the app useful, and let me know if the links work!

You should try to intake your protein after working out. It's the most important time to ingest. Some sort of carb to stimulate insulin, coupled with protein within a half hour of working out will yield the best results to firm up and solidify muscle tissue (muscle growth and tone).

Right after working out i usually eat a banana which is high in potassium and has a good amount of carbs. But im usually eating my protein a couple hours after working out for lunch and then some at dinner.

My stomach is finally "getting smaller" and i just realized it today. Today i have ate:

Some red bean stew with protein(red meat) for lunch at around 1 pm, a quarter cup of natural fruit cocktail at around 5, and at 8 i ate 6 oz of chicken with 3 tomato slices. I havent felt the need to eat more the whole day, which is good.

One thing that i need to improve on is definitely my sleeping/waking up time. I am usually going to sleep at around 1 am and waking up at around 9-10. Id like to be able to wake up at around 8 to eat something light before doing my workout as i feel it would give me more energy. I also need to improve in eating every 3 hours to maintain a steady metabolism.

Can you guys see the links.. do they work?

I was quite specific in what I recommended (for a reason). The most important time for your muscles to begin rebuilding, strengthening, tightening, etc is within the first 30 mins after a workout. It is important to take in some carbs to stimulate insulin production. This will assist in delivering the protein to your muscles. So a banana after workout is fine, but a protein shake is better.

You should really look into reading about exercise, diet, and bodybuilding. I think it would be nothing but wonderful and enlightening. While you may say "wait,I'm not bodybuilding," that's fine. The principles are the same. Proper diet and exercise are all covered. While what you eat is very important, when you eat is almost as important. If you want results, try incorporating ideas that have been proven through the years. Better results faster.

HTH.
