HE may have been a little rude to you, but there is no reason to get rid of omega 6's. They are a healthy fat and in moderation, which he is practicing, there is nothing wrong with this at all. Omega 3 fatty acids are healthier and more desirable, but he needs a variety of nutrients in his diet for health. He isn't trying to be really lean or anything. Many people take things a little too much to the extreme.

100g of protein a day is sufficient at his weight, as I mentioned in my last post. In all reality, he isn't THAT active ;) A couple hours of moderate exercise a day is perfect for weight loss (ACSM recommends 90min of moderate to vigorous intensity workouts 5x a week for weight loss). And he isn't weight lifting to build muscle. Anywhere between 100-150g is sufficient.

Also, remember that he probably doesn't record everything he consumes here. You are assuming.

Grunt - he is right about one particular thing though, I haven't seen much talk about vegetables, and I hope you are eating some. They are very, very nutrient dense. You can easily add them to your diet without adding many calories.

No hostility from me, just mentioning some facts.

Yea sometimes i miss to put a few things here and there. But you got one thing right muffy im not very active at all which is why i eat less. The only really active part of my day is working out. After that, i spend easily 8 hours at home and go out to the market or something every day.

Well heres how the usual day goes for me...

9:00 a.m. : wake up
breakfast/ orange juice
10:00 a.m : Go to park (if i eat breakfast i usually go an hour later)
11:30 a.m. : Go back home
11:45 a.m. : Eat something when i get home(usually a banana but am gonna buy the skim milk tonight and try it)
12:00 p.m. : take a bath
12:30 p.m. - whenever i go out: stay at home...
12:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m.: go to sleep.

I just finished school now so this is how my schedule is ATM. Im probably going to be getting a summer job now until college starts again in fall.

As far as veggies go, i dont eat them everyday. Maybe every 2 days i usually eat some green beans or broccoli.

Down to 274 now BTW, i will weigh myself tomorrow in the morning to get a more accurate reading!

so you workout in the morning and how many times do you eat after you come back from running because it looks like your not eating enough unless you just forgot to list it and im reading it wrong
do you do outdoor running?

he didnt write down his later day meals. And get chocolate skim milk. It's easier for those who normally don't drink milk AND better nutritionally for post workouts.

Also... EAT MORE VEGGIES. Find some things you like, seriously. It will really benefit you. Whether it be broccoli, zucchini, squash, carrots, eggplant, tomatoes, green beans, etc (a lot of these are scientifically a fruit, but nutritionally a vegetable)....

I usually work out in the morning maybe less than an hour after waking up. When i come back i eat a small snack, and lunch a couple hours later. I usually eat something between lunch and dinner and then go to bed. But youre right im eating little, probably 1700 calories a day.

An yes, i run outdoors

I will definately start on the veggies! Am going to go work out and play more football around 5:30, yesterday i went around 3 pm and man that sun was HOT!

I will now write down what i ate at around 9 pm which is usually when i dont eat anything after. I need to put it down on my calorie tracker so it should be fairly easy to post EVERYTHING on here :)

Well ate my last meal at around 8... This is everything i have eaten today.

Woke up at 2 so keep that in mind.

Late bfast?:
2:30 p.m. 2 eggs(180 calories)
2:30 p.m. Whole weat bread(100 calories)
2:30 p.m. Piece of steak(2-300 calories)
2:30 p.m. Orange juice (70 calories)

So my whole breakfast/lunch was 550-650 calories.

I worked out at about 6:40-8 and did this:
http://runkeeper.com/user/jorgedubo...WALK&utm_source=Basic&utm_term=basic-activity

Burned about 400-500 calories.

So far this puts me at...

1700 calories to start of the day (-) 550-650 calories from breakfast/lunch + 400-500 from working out.

So that gives me about 1600 calories left for the rest of the day but it was already late and i might have ate 600 calories for dinner, if that.

Muffy what are your thoughts on this? I eat when i am hungry and am not eating without being hungry, should this change? Am i not eating healthy?

I think you need to make sure you are getting your 1700 calories per day (with additional calories to balance the workout up to 2500) like you suggested at first ...

MAke sure you're adding veggies ...

I would try bumping your calories up by adding grains to your meals. I usually won't recommend things that don't fill you up as fast lol but if you have trouble meeting calories, it's a must.

A brown or wild rice is a great thing to add, or a serving of whole wheat pasta (make sure you measure this out dry before cooking to ensure proper portioning).

It is good that you are only eating when you are hungry and not stuffing yourself however. This is why you must make modifications in which you are still only eating when hungry and not stuffing yourself, but tricking your body to be satisfied with what it needs.

do NOT under any circumstances eat less than 1700 calories a day, you don't want to slow down your metabolism any more.
