Sorry for your loss, man that sucks! If I caught scum like that breaking my tanks they'd look like swiss cheese in seconds!

Anyways, why break the tanks? Sounds like they wanted to make you angry. Hell, maybe that's all they wanted. They coulda just took the camera and stuff to make it look like a robbery. If I was making that kinda noise, with that kinda time, I would've gone and took your washing machine too, while I was at it.
 
That sucks...as many people have already said...if I were to catch them in the act...

that sucks, and those jerks need to get a life. thieving is one thing, but needlessly breaking a beautiful(and not to mention expensive) aquarium is being a lowlife scumbag.

Maybe I watched too many CSI

The first thing I can think of is, he is trying to wash away the evidences (finger prints, clothing particles, shoes marking, blood stain and etc)

BUT...

this is just a simple robbery, and its not even a homicide, why do so much?

that is so sad! i think i'd go into depression if some idiot came and smashed all my tanks up. good of you to stand up and carry on, dont let those scumbags bring you down. they smashed your tanks because it was some jealousy/hatred thing. they cant take it so they arent going to let you have it. my house in mauritius got robbed a few times because they knew i didnt live in the country and then they slashed the tires and broke all the glass in my dad's mercedes because they couldnt steal the car. just goes to show what people are like these days.
