@jd7 yup a lot of crap happens all the time
but i really doubt i need a gun to feel safe

id like to own a 50cal and mount it on the roof of my car to help with my aggression problem lol

The way i feel is it doesnt matter what city you live in. Your town can be voted the safest on the planet but there are always going to be thiefs, murderers, rapists, etc and it isnt getting any better in this world especially the way the economy is heading. I know that i would rather own a gun and be considered an extremist than be a victim. I can honestly say that if someone broke into my house i would have no problem shooting them with whatever gun i had by my side, they do not belong in there and the second they opened the door and stepped foot inside, they have already made me feel like my life is threatened.

Just wow!

Ring 111 and wait for the po pos?! What a joke! Shop keeps that put a beatin on thugs are considered heroes over here!

More and more states are adopting whats called the Castle Doctorine law which, in a nut shell, says deadly force can be used when any felony rather it be attempted murder, rape, or grand theft auto, is commited in your place of dwelling. The "victim" in these cases can not be tried in a criminal court for doing so. We are moving in the right direction, we just need to get a law to protect victims from civil litigation now.

Thank you! That is one reason why wise Americans fight to keep their Constitutional right to keep and bare arms!

.. and a quick look at firearm related deaths per capita strongly argues against it. United States easily top it for non-developing countries, and allowing every random to carry a gun is never going to sort it out, ever. If you can't see that you're blatantly pro-gun biased.

I'm neither a fan or a hater of firearms, but I support the current laws in practice in Australia. People continue to argue that "the criminals will still manage to get their hands on the weapons so it's just taking guns out of responsible owners hands", that's true to an extent but less guns = less deaths. It's simple math.
