Xbox 360 when they die they just die

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
How the rrod happens is that from turning the xbox on and off so much the solder expands and shrinks until the connection isn't made. So they install the thermal pads to reflow the solders. If you do it in the oven it fixes it a lot better.
The same idea is used when your xbox stops displaying picture, but plays sound through the TV.

get a ps3 lol

have you played on the carpet? I've heard even the slightest covering of the heat ports can cause a fatal overheating

The towel trick is crap , doing weekly will still end up with a dead 360, i did the x clamp fix on my current one , still going strong.

i have done same thing after frying first xbox - bad thing about it that it is so loud...:irked:

I have surround sound. You can't hear the intercooler at all.

All your talk about the PS3....Psh. The PS3 still breaks, just not NEARLY as common as the 360. The difference? Microsoft will fix your 360 for free...

Would much rather be able to just mail away my broken toy, and have it fixed, then have to shell out another $500 for a new toy. Which, btw, is coming from a company who is going downhill, and are already so far in a hole with their toy (they have lost, and continue to lose, soooo much money on PS3's, they don't want to fix the broken ones)
