Hot damn! the light came today. Shiny! Awaiting the arrival of my filter socks which should be soon. Then I have to move a couple of tanks around and I'll be ready to start cycling wooo!

Well nothing terrible new currently. My filter socks have arrived and I purchased a Milwaukee regulator which just might arrive this week. Then I shall begin work on the reactor. And hopefully get the tank running to start cycling. Well here's a current family photo, from left to right, Gonorrhea, Pizzaria, and Diarrhea.

LOL, those names are terrible! Great looking tank and fish.

Ok so its been quite some time since an update. I guess I have just been lazy. Anyway the tank is currently up and running with just the substrate and a jack dempsey in it to start the cycle. He has been in there for about a week so pretty soon I'm going to start adding some more fish... perhaps my clean-up crew first but in not sure. The filter is running great I just have a few modifications to do to handle my co2 loss from the wet/dry oxygenating the water. My c02 cylinder and my milwaukee regulator have arrived and I have purchased the parts for my reactor. One question though, can I use vynl tubing for the co2 injection or do I have to use something else?

P.S. Hope to have some pictures uploaded later this evening.

K bye

your dark choice of substrate will likely cause darker colors for your discus. I would have chosen a much lighter gravel.

Its called peppering.... Its really nasty thing if ur fish have it right now. Once they go into a dark gravel tanks it well come out alot more... i have them in SeaLab brown gravel white wall back and they pepper alot... only the discus that have pepper... a few of my pricey fish that dont get peppering started to get it... even on a dark green carpit flooring...

yay discus...only 3!? oh noes I thought they'd prefer 6 or more?

6 or more is what you want, seeing how he has a 3 you should see alot of bulling... i run 1 per 10g on emepty tanks but dont like to go max... try n keep 5-6 . Im starting up the discus hoppy n notice that Bare Bottom tanks are the best for color

Sirspifalot does that PB have a yellow upper back?

Currently they are in a 30gal and the 2 bigger ones have been matting laying eggs twice so far since they have been in the tank. Both times have been unsuccessful. I'm assuming its because they are still young. There isn't much bullying going on right now although the one I believe to be the male occasionally chases the pigeon blood but generally they all hang out together just fine. Soon they will move to that 75 though and I plan to get 3 more to get that magic 6 number.

k bye
