yet another nurse shark post

Sounds like the concensus is.............no to the nurse shark idea. Maybe your ray deal will go better.

pass on them unless u wanna eat them . everybody can get mad if they want but nurse is the best and sweetest tasting shark there is but other than that its not worth ur time. i fish shark yr round mostly for research and tagging but one or two make there way home with me and an 8ft nurse shark is huge ive got pics of a few that size .

Shedd won't take them...I've worked there...no donations, especially sharks.

As someone has already stated, 10,000gal is not near big enough, for an adult...let alone numerous specimens, which you're talking about getting.

Who do you, read about, heard about, etc. that has their own private 10,000gal fish tank, that you could sell these sharks to? Ummm...no one. You're going to end up with numerous sharks, that you can't care for, provide proper habitat for and they'll end up getting pushed aside, left to die.

Just from reading your "I could only imagine what would happen if a dog or a child fell in. That could be one huge law suit waiting to happen. Luckly I'll be graduating law school in may....", you haven't the slightest idea about the species.

Think before you speak. I already have someone with a 40,000 gallon and a couple others with large tanks.

Not much of a fish eater, but that setup is nuts. Maybe sometime day.... who knows.

you fishing in the bay around Sanibel, lots of nurse shatks in there.
