Well - it may be possible for a private aquarist to keep a single adult Nurse Shark for Life. But it requires a very large Swimming pool size (over 20,000+ gallons) shark lagoon to do so.

Personally I would suggest to anyone that is seriously considering keeping a Nurse Shark - to first go to your nearest Public Aquarium. Notice the size of the Adult Nurse Sharks, and talk with the aquarists caring for the sharks to see what is truely required to keep a Nurse Shark for life.

Don't forget to ask to see the food bill. I could only imagine how much they eat at full size.
 
Not as much as one might think. You can get away with about every three to four days as adults. As pups, they eat more % of their body weight than they do as sub adults and adults.
