well i guess thats right? but serious? betta? fish? LOL thats crazy.. man.. iunno.. feeding gold fish .. i mean is good.. some what but depends on which pet store you get em from.. and etc.

It does not matter which pet store you get goldfish from.. they have no idea in the pet store if they have disease.. sometimes it does not show up in the gold fish..they may just be carriers and then you feed your arow .. and a week or so later you wonder how the heck he could be sick..you did your water changes .. well that one gold fish could cost your arow his life.. the only way to ever feed feeders is to raise them yourself in a quarenteen tank.. you do not feed any to your arow for a month to make sure they are not dying off.. etc.. i bought mollies to save them .. they had them in the LFS as feeders..with in a week they would one by one die... that is what the people were feeding their fish.. not worth taking a risk like that..as soon as you can you are better off feeding frozen or pellets.. but everyone is on their own in making this decision..but i would never risk any fish that meant something to me..

I feed my silver market shrimp...tuna meat...salmon...smelt...chicken meat (lean)...krill...and catfish nugets.

Actully this is what we feed all of our larger fish...only the fry and grow outs get bloodworms and brine shrimp.

I feed my 8inch jar, fd krill, azoo pellet, aqua master pellet, market shrimp. I am going to get mealworm and other form of live food for him soon. Each day he eat different stuff he growing pretty fast plus he starting to show some aggression at this size.

when you start feeding an arow live food after feeding him all the good healthy stuff ..you take a chance that the arow will not eat that healthy food again or at least refuse it until he is really starved.. they can go off food for a long time ..sometimes 5 weeks or more.. he won't be growing and feeling too healthy during that time... anyone who has their arow eating right should not tease them with live food anymore... they are better off without it .. because most likely you will have an arow that refuses to eat all the great foods that you mentioned above.. and it will drive you nuts trying to get him back on it.....

fully agree with Lizza's statement. 100%. we've all been there, done that.

LOL I forgot about the crickets...on cricket day for the lizards (both are for sale by the way along with huge habitats...anyone? please? lol) we always drop a bunch of them in the tank for Pinky to scarf down.
