I only keep him outside when he's shedding which is in the spring/fall for about 3 weeks.
Other then that he's pretty much an inside dog.

Outside unless there is bad weather. My poor dogs have a heart attack when the tornado sirens go off.
Outside although we let them inside the garage if the weather is bad. Not letting them inside my house with the mess they can create.
i lived in a town where everyone on the block had dogs and they ALL lived out side. They practically formed a pack and roamed around all the time up and down the road.
Mind you... i lived on a dead end road in the boonies in upstate NY. We all knew who's dog was who and they all where super sweet.
They all stayed outside even in the winter, but i believe they were let in during the really cold days or in stormy weather.
one of them was my favorite. her name was rascal. She was a husky mix. She would go in our garage during thunder storms and rain. She lived to be as old as the hills too.

Inside, without a doubt. They are mine and my wife's best friends. Never would I leave a friend out in the cold. Two 75 lb goldens and a cocker.
My huskies used to be inside all the time, only outside to go potty and for walks. During colder times though they loved it outside and getting them in was a pain. After I had my son though they were pretty much outside dogs. The two I have now are outside the majority of the time still. The one is still a puppy and trying to keep an eye on him and my 2 year old is pretty hard for me to do at the moment.
I hate dogs being outside like that though. I go out there everyday though, and spend a few hours with them and any time I get the chance. Whenever I have free time I usually let them in for awhile. They have free roam of the yard, and it's a very large backyard with tons of shade and a kiddie pool for them when it was hotter out. They also can come inside to our Florida room for shelter though whenever they want.

out side day,inside night,inside day if Im home and he looks lonly as in staring through the window.Nice yard though with shelter,never let him suffer,its called love.
