Your opinion on water changes?

Seems most ppl agree with me on 3... I have to say that it doesnt stress me out as it used to.. but after a water change.. i make sure to check all the fishes and see how their doing..

My fish seems to like new water.. especially plecos..

Obviously depends on the fish and how much water you remove. I am overstocked so do 70-80per cent changes weekly. They are mildy stressed I'd say (gill movement increases and they become skittish). But hey, I think they prefer clean water!

Most of my fish love it, but sometimes the torrent can be a little too much for them so they shy away.

I do LARGE weekly water changes. Around 80% in most of the tanks. The fish don't seem to be very effected by it at all... some seem more active afterward, some seem a little quiet for an hour or two. We're on well water and do not even need to use a conditioner. I do sometimes use Prime if I think I didn't do a very good job vacuuming the gravel though.

I know it ticks off my Oscar. He changes color and hides. Otherwise, everything is fine.

lol myoscar does the same thing. but hour or 2 they love it full of energy.

i do 25%-50% water changes every 3 days,
sux 4 me, but my fish love it...
my angels r the only ones who hide for a min but usually are very interested in what im doing like chasing the gravel vac around.. and when i put new water in my tetras and betta love to ride the wave u can say, they like swimming through the water colum..

lots of discus keepers do daily 50% water changes.

My fish don't like my tube in the tank and they find till I add the fresh water and then they are happy and swim around happy as can be.

The wc itsself promotes unity in my fish against the Bucket Monster, which is unstressful. Only problem is I have driftwood, so my pH is 6.5, but my tap pH is 7.5. So mai acara gets mopey
