It’s only been a couple days, but I think their sacs look like they are getting smaller. They are more active now too.
I did lose one the first day. I think I had the bubbler too strong so I adjusted it and haven’t lost any since. 1363377

What a great parent I hope all the rest of the fry survive, I don’t know about Africans, but do they not eat while holding the babies?

Africans dont eat while holding. They can go up to three weeks without food while holding. I lost a WC aulonocara sp. stuartgranti maleri female due to spawning and holding to long. She came in in really bad condition when i bought the pair. Thats why i never direct import fishes anymore

It sure is. I saw she was holding and went for a trip to my cuisin in barcelona spain for 2 months. Came home and she was holding again skinny as hell. Stripped her and moved her to a seperate tank but she didnt make it. So that was 100euro to hell and i ended up with an lonely male.

Yep, they don’t eat while holding.
Now I don’t know if she ate the babies or just spit them out so others ate them. But I know it was my fault. I moved some plants she was using the roots to hide in. After that she was too stressed from the male chasing her and her mouth was empty by the next day.
