Both not knowing who each other was. So when they both finally met up what made Treyvon attack Zimmerman and beat the heck out of him. Because he was following him? that's a justification to beat someone up. You say Zimmerman put himself in that situation so he deserves to get beat have his nose broken his head pounded into the sidewalk. He was only doing his job keeping his community safe at night. Yes its a tragedy Treyvon got killed. You can't go around beating people up if you do make sure there not carrying a gun.

good points ...IF THAT IS WHAT HAPPENED.. the only thing for certain that DID happen was that an UNARMED PERSON WAS FOLLOWED AND SHOT BY AN ARMED PERSON.. these are FACTS.. THE REST IS ALL SPECULATION depending on what you WANT TO BELIEVE ..SO BE IT .. the law has spoken

Yeah if you ignore witness testimony and evidence that's all that was proven.

It wasn't his job to hunt down "suspicious characters." anybody who doesn't believe he is guilty of manslauter should read into the neighborhood watch program. That being said IMO Martin is no saint and was no child. There is no perfect outcome here. Either way people will be upset. That being said there is no evidence and burden of proof falls on the prosecution, and they obviously didn't do enough. Can we please leave race out of this discussion?

on what grounds? His story did not fit the parameters of manslaughter
 
So I can now arm myself, follow a complete stranger at night without identifying myself, get out out of my vehicle contrary to official recommendation instigating a confrontation and when my MMA training proves insufficient, pull out said firearm and kill said person. This is a win for justice how? This is a win for the guns, guns, guns at all costs crowd and nothing else.

^b) Other than statement from the person on trial, prove TM attacked first unprovoked.

I did not watch the circus of a trial(better things to do, I AM OLD ENOUGH TO REMEMBER THE OJ fiasco).. and in the news reports I SAW..not a single person came forward and said"I saw the whole thing"... so on partial eyewitness accountsthey pieced together a story .. ok ..fine.. did you ever come into a conversation in the middle and wonder what the heck these people are arguing about? that's what the eyewitnesses who came in after the fight started, must have felt like.. so that's what we KNOW FOR SURE .. one guy with a gun another guy dead,thats it ,SO BE IT your side won .. be happy:)

Facts you say? then lets look at the facts. Yes there was a confrontation how do we know? Zimmerman had a bloodied broken nose bleeding from his lips. The back of his head was cut bruised bleeding all consistent with being beat up. This is not speculation this did happen. Was he in danger? he felt he was. Should he been able to protect himself if he could. That is the question I guess you need to answer. Did Zimmerman have a right to protect himself if he was getting a serious beat down.

If you follow the local firearm regulations yes, as long as the fight progresses to a point that you feel you may be seriously injured or killed, nobody is stopping the fight, and you cannot stop the fight any other way. You could also use a knife, brick, screwdriver, hammer, or any other weapon to utilize deadly force in self defense.

Burden of proof is on the prosecution. Prove Zimmerman attacked Martin unprovoked.
