So I'm back after not posting awhile on this forum, being really busy in the recent past and thought it's time for me to start my own topic.
So this is going to be it, My name is Flemming 20years old and living in The Netherlands. Ever since my childhood I've been passionate about fishing.
I really liked lure fishing, and catching big pikes was something I dreamed about when I was a kid.
The Netherlands is a perfect country for catching pikes, with thousands of man made canals and small rivers and lakes.
And due to strict catch and release policy, Pikes are known to grow close to 5ft in our country.
This catch and release policy also has a downside, most big pikes are difficult to catch because their are used to being caught.
U have to be an expert to lure the big boys in, especially when they are over 3feet long.
Another fish I will be targeting is Zander, closely related to the Walleye.
Zander are less common then Pike in The Netherlands, mostly due to commercial fishing and poaching.
It's an even more targeted sportfish then pike, because it tends to grow bigger in mass and is able to put up a bigger fight.
In this topic I am going to show my catches, which will mostly consist of Pike, Zander, European Perch and Eel.
My ultimate fishing goal is to catch a pike over 125cm, A zander over 95cm and a perch over 45cm.
In this topic you can follow my process trying to proceed this goal, share pictures of your catches of pike and zander and ask questions about fishing methods.
I hope everyone will enjoy reading this topic as much as I do making it.
To start off I will show my biggest catches of 2013.
