I have expected that polypterids in Lake Turkana would tolerate more alkaline waters, since Lake Turkana is very brakish.
I can't be more accurate on those photos, as they are just pics found on the web, but I am pretty sure it is Lake Tanganyika.
* On a side note, though I do think Darius has come here with the wrong attitude, I don't think calls for him to be banned is fair.
He does have some valid points, and is entitled to his opinion just like everyone else.
* Darius, word to the wise, there are many here who have vast knowledge of the fish they keep, and there are people here active in study groups too.
