Have you been bitten by your fish?

Rays hurt really bad. My fear isn't the allergic actions but bacteria that can cause serious infections afterwards. I use ice and hydrogen perioxide.

For me I had about a three inch by two inch laceration it was a wide gaping hole. Went straight threw the muscle whole nine yards. Instead of ice use really hot water. The heat breaks down the proteins in the venom causing it to break down. Now for the the dirty wound part I was walking around with my wound packed with gauze for two days letting it drain before stitching it up. Luckily I didn't receive an infection but be careful non of the barb has broken off into the laceration. Ever consider de barbing them?

My black bullhead likes to grab fingers and pull and shake them like he is going to tear them off. One he realizes they are not coming of he gives up and lets go. It doesn't hurt at all. maybe someday he will learn fingers are friends not food

I've been hit by my Bichir a couple times, and gummed/shocked by my e-cat several times. I swear, that fat little jerk waits until I'm not watching him to swim to the top to take food and shock my hand for fun.

My wolf fish tries to take out the cleaning siphon when I clean his half of the tank (which is why he is my only fish that is not hand fed)

Hopefully I can accumulate some arowana bite stories of my own too.

my oscar bites me more frequently than i would like to admit. You would think I would learn my lesson. It isn't bad, but it does smart a bit.

My worst "bite" was actually from one of the largest size tank scrubbing magnets. NEVER LET THOSE THINGS SLAM CLOSED ON YOUR SKIN, LOL.
