Can I put a small male jd in it with my female convict? Maybe breed them. Cause I don't want to move the con to my 10 as its the only tank I have available. Or I could put a female jd with my male con.

I would do male w/ male.....

Yea you can do that. It's not uncommon for ppl to do that hybrid pair

Yes. A pair of cons could definitely breed and live in a 20 gallon. Many people do it to make feeder fish for their larger cichlids.
