A pair of firemouths would work as well.

Ok I'm really trying to decide between either 1or2 jds or 1 gt

Go with your gut. Whichever you like more. If I had to choose, I would buy 5-6 small 1-2" electric blue jacks to get a breeding pair. They are the brightest colored between blue jacks, regular jacks and greens. But then my favorite color is blue, so my opinion is bias. LOL

Electric blues are just too expensive. The range from $40-$80 here and most are under 2" unless you want to pay top dollar at a store that had two and only have 3 day garuntee

"I was thinking of them. But I prefer the jd and gt colours more"

I would go with a GT than.

Ok so jd or gt my gravel is really white. Should I switch to black?

Pic is from a while ago but same gravel and decor

Most fish live in environments with tan or darker colored sediment. I use a brown/tan gravel in my tanks, but I personally think black sand looks amazing. But it's very expensive. If you are thinking of black sand, save the money for EBJDs instead.
