Impossible. To research dinosaurs you need to obtain a masters degree. Information restricted from everyone else other than simple Wikipedia pages or illegal information sharing.

:scratchmyhead: so you need a masters degree to read a book? With all the millions of books , documentaries and other stuff on dinosaurs I find this very hard to believe

i'm not so sure about phrousracus. As far as i know they were not affected from saner tooth cats. They even wandered into north america

It was Titanis who made it into North America, not Phorusrhacos. Granted, Titanis was a phorusrhacine phorusrhacid, but it was a different genus. New evidence in recent years indicates that they went extinct shortly after making it to North America (Texas and Florida) about a million years ago; significantly reducing the previous 10,000 year ago extinction estimate.

Interesting note on these birds is that the oh so popular (and which I am forced to admit that I loved) wing claw theory has recently been disproven. It broke my heart to learn that, I thought an alular claw was a fascinating idea.

We are not experts but we did stay at a Holiday Inn Express

That's not what Sinbad says

Best answer EVER.

First thing to be brought back should be the Tasmanian Tiger like stated before, and to all of you who say it will be decades before we even get close to cloning, I wonder how an Iphone or a Pagani Zonda would of looked in 1980, we have come very far in the past 30 years and i'm sure wew will go a lot further.
I'm still pissed they can't make scratchless Cd's...........

Yup, anyone who doesn't have a masters degree is too illiterate to read such complex books.

This IS true, I KNOW from experience.

In order to attempt to garner a basic understanding of a saurischian post-cranial vertebral morphology and how it could have either impacted or have been impacted by the development of theropods and prosauropods, I attempted to read the lengthy tome My Cuddly Cloth Dinosaur Book (cover pictured below). Unfortunately, I was absolutely overwhelmed with technical jargon held in reverent solemnity in the pages of this epic piece.

Alas, I was forced to put this unintelligibly verbose book down and go to Wikipedia in an attempt to understand these fascinating animals. I now just use the book to show the well illustrated, colorful images to my four month old son. At least HE can appreciate something in this book.

Darn the troubles of an undergrad. :'(

Yes. I can also attest that since I do not have a masters degree, I cannot read the 4th word in the title of that book. Just proves that everyone claiming to be experts.... Are lying. We are not worthy of the all mighty masters degree.

I doubt that saber tooth cat would kill much people...they are unable to develop a strong bite and were mostly scavangers. Their teeth were mostly for display.

I thought they were ambush predators that lodge onto their prey's jugular to compensate for their weaker bite?

I agree on the return of the Thylacines. No big land predator in Australia for a long time already except for saltwater crocs. Oh dingos!
