HELP RESEALING 180 GALLON. PICTURES!!!!!!!

excuse my ignorance but what do you mean with adhesive silicone? Is there a specific name?
The silicone you get at most hardware stores id non-adhesive. Some is anti microbial and that means that it has chemicals that kill mildew and mold. You want to AVOID that for aquarium use. Adhesive silicone is silicone, but it is like glue. It is adhesive and it creates a much stronger bond.

The top frame does not look as if it was ever made with a center brace so the seller probably used a piece of glass as one. Some older tanks were not made with cross braces but I am not sure what was the biggest sized tank that did not have them.Years ago I had an old 125 that was braceless.I never had a problem with bowing but my lights and glass tops would not fit properly so I ordered a replacement top frame that was made with crossbracing.
As Pops said, the tank could have been a reptile tank but who knows.I am with the poster who advised to sit the tank outside and fill and let it sit for a few days and see how it holds up before going the reseal route.

Ive heard of really good brands and types of silicone here in MFK I just cant rember which ones. I want a really strong one, regardless of the price.
