I have no idea why you would think that.

From that thread they mentioned Canada will not let krill in unless preserved with EQ for safety reasons. So let's say Asia does not have those restrictions? That's why I ask

From that thread they mentioned Canada will not let krill in unless preserved with EQ for safety reasons or any seafood for that matter. So does Asia have those same restrictions? Or what ever kind of fish meal they use need ethoxyquin . From what I gather ethoxyquin is only added because of health regulations on import

I think that you need to reread what's been posted here. I'm not going to rehash the entire conversation regarding EQ.

What I'm saying is I don't think hikari uses it and I know that tropical brand does not contain ethoxyquin. So it's a trade off. Lower quality food sans EQ or high quality food with EQ.

Untill NLS come out and say It's EQ free I will assume it contains EQ.

You're starting to sound like kmuda, Mike. lol Sans a lab report you have no idea what each manufacturer is doing behind closed doors. Very few fish food manufacturers that have been using EQ over the years, some for decades, have actually posted EQ on their ingredient listing on their labels. Not all countries even require one to do so, on PET food. This is not food destined for human consumption. Most manufacturers believed (incorrectly) that if they didn't add EQ at their end, they didn't have to list it on the label. Not according to AAFCO. As far as NLS, the new labels will list Naturox as the preservative used by their vendors, and they will test to monitor on a regular basis. This is what I have been told by Pablo himself. I have also seen some of the new labels, Naturox is listed.

As an example, from your Tropical food manufacturer;

Additives (per kg): Vitamins, pro-vitamins and chemically well-defined substances having similar effect: vit. A 26 200 IU, vit. D3 1 570 IU, vit. E 100 mg, vit. C 525 mg. Compounds of trace elements: E1 (Fe) 36.4 mg, E6 (Zn) 10.1 mg, E5 (Mn) 7.6 mg, E4 (Cu) 1.8 mg, E2 (I) 0.22 mg, E8 (Se) 0.22 mg, E7 (Mo) 0.05 mg. Lecithin. Colourants: astaxanthin 100 mg. Antioxidants.

Antioxidents is a rather generic term, and could mean anything, including ethoxyquin. Also, some forms of astaxanthin also contain EQ, as some forms are high in fat content. Just a prime example of how one doesn't know ****e, unless it's spelled out clearly on the ingredients list, and even then you have to either have great trust in the manufacturer, or see lab reports from independent sources.

The difference with NF and all the rest, is NF actually made these bold EQ free statements on their website.

It's almost like NF is waiting (hoping) that all this will get covered up and get back to business as usual.

I would like to try some naturox formula next to my old pellets. Out of curiousity.

Not sure how any of the fish food manufacturers get away from any preservative of krill. You literally have hours before the krill is not useable.

If the posting of the person who worked for a krill manufacturer is true, then using anything but ethoxyquin would easily raise the price of krill by double. The fish food manufacturers would then increase their prices to be on a higher end than others. I haven't seen much of a difference in price between NF, Tropical, or NLS.

Not sure if it will. Here's a link to a posting about NF. Be sure to read the very last post dated Aug 2017, where a 3rd party vendor resurrected a 6 month old thread to say that a krill meal producer lied to NF about the use of ethoxyquin.
