Males are typically lighter in color my guess would be male? Where did you get it?

At a local pet store.

Yeah it's probably male most breeders send males to pet stores as they're more colorful and easier to sell to customers

How long do you think it will be till I can find out forsure it’s one

Another month or so. It should stay lighter in color but gain more contrast as its spots darken.

I have two more jags in the tank besides that one to hopefully get a male between the three. The one I put online seems to be the most dominant and territorial. Hopefully that’s a sign of a male
