You know what you can have my freaking luxury. Last time I checked I'm not a child to be scolded and really don't appreciate that comment. Pretty tempted to say where that comment can go but ill keep it civil.

I'm not a model citizen by any means I've had my warnings and chilled out as asked to....but this is pretty ridiculous and I'm positive im not the only one that feels that way.

The waterboarding comment that someone made was very clearly tongue in cheek, I don't think anyone with common sense would take that seriously. I fail to see how that thread was political. It was simply a discussion about things that are happening in society these days, no one took it to a political place, and myself and others actually made sure we did NOT take it to a political place.

What rubs me the wrong way is over the past couple months there have been a couple threads with a few very blatant problem members that "should" have been axed, yet were not. Simply because they leaned a certain way it seemed. Yet ones like this one seem like it is being put under a microscope to find a reason to lock it.

I appreciate you taking the time to let us know why it was locked. I simply do not agree, but that is fine.

Trust me, the "axe" is coming, to continue your metaphor. I've been building toward this for about two years. The reason this hasn't been implemented sooner is simply because I couldn't do it all by myself, and I needed mods. They're now ready, so I'm working up a draft.

Anything that's political- to include anything that could be politicized in such a way as to cause a fight (such as the thread in question)- will be banned, as per the ToS.

I intend to be fair. You all will have a grace period and an appeals system for infractions, all of which will be clearly explained before it goes live. The policy is to once again be be zero tolerance for any of it, regardless of political opinion.

BTW where are the TOS you mentioned, I do not see them but would like to read them.

In the turn of new events we are revamping the TOS, and will be intimating everybody of them pretty soon.

You joined about the time this forum fell apart and I started to try to rebuild it.

To be quite frank- you probably have a very rude awakening coming now that we're back to the volume we used to have and are trying to get the forum on the rails again.

To be clear: the rules never changed, and we're not going to be changing them now. They just weren't enforced due to a lack of ability to do so.

The only change coming is the rules being enforced.

Its not the abiding by the rules people have a problem with its the picking and choosing. I was going to post some other stuff but no need to do that public. I do think its counter productive to ask people to be respectful then scold them like a child.

I think we are confused because even though we were disagreeing with each other it was done in a respectful manner.

Nothing was mentioned as being an issues except the all caps.

It is what it is. Cant chase the rabbit down the hole.

We try to be fair and unbiased in handling member differences, but more than often either one or both don't agree on the action taken being fair.

It's better to nip such threads in the bud, and ask the community to move on, as we clearly are not here to discuss social evils and such.

The lounge is a place for members to bond and build friendships in other areas as well.
