This is the only nimbo I didn't keep before I moved on from african cichlids. Maybe one day.

I think I like their juvenile colors better than their adult colors. Really love that lookToday I bought a juvenile livingstoni cichlid. Fascinating color.
Gibberosa is too good.Neolamprologus brevis. I had them for years and I miss those guys. They were so much fun watching them fight over shells. My favorite was when they couldn't get their neighbor to move so they buried the shell next door. I have multis now and it just isn't the same.
The fish has great personality as well. Love watching. It's less than 3 inches but still behaves like a predator.I think I like their juvenile colors better than their adult colors. Really love that look

I have a dubosi as well. Same size as the livingstoni. Their daily face off is incredible. They do not bite each other; just stare at each other for long time showing silent aggressive threats. Makes me remember the school days lol.Definitely a predator. I think they lay down on the substrate like their dead to ambush smaller Cichlids that swim by.
I think oscars have also been observed doing that.Definitely a predator. I think they lay down on the substrate like their dead to ambush smaller Cichlids that swim by.
