29 Gallon Community Tank Growout Thread

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Ok, so the Female Betta just died, and I'm pretty sure I know why. The Platys and guppies eat so quickly, and perhaps the betta wasn't getting enough food. She was really skinny when she died. I'm still kind of confused...
I think you got it right. Livebearers may be peaceful, but they are very aggressive feeders compared to the more laid back betta.

That's why I like MFK. You can get advice on Arapaima, and then ask about your 10 gallon community tank.

Even though I'm several months late and have no experience with any fish sites beyond here and Loaches Online (in other words, no experience with small fish specialized sites), I just can't help agree with this. I made 2 simultaneous threads about neon tetra photos and Colombian pictus catfish photos, and both ended up being very appreciated.

Full stock rn is:

Pair of Guppies
6 Cardinal Tetras
4 Amano Shrimp
Pair of corys
4 Platys

How many more corys do you recommend?
You could probably do four more or so.
Something like a ram would make a cool centerpiece and would compete with the platies much better.
