thinking of adding 1 more fish to my 125

I don't think you would be overstocked from adding the additional fish. But, I would have to go with a Cuban.

    algae problem

Interesting as to why you have so much algae. But yes, a timer would be the best thing. I would simply do a 50% water change for a few weeks just to make sure things clear up. This is because as algae dies, and rots it releases carbon dioxide in the water, dramatically reducing how much...

Ammonia is definitely worse, than nitrate.

    algae problem

The green tint to the water, could be caused by the blue lights themselves. Try limiting how much light the aquarium receives. 8-10 hours, is sufficient enough. I would do water changes once weekly, to about 50%. Your algae problem should clear itself up. Also, make sure the tank is not exposed...

Concerning cichlids that "police" the tank.

With cichlids, often you will find that one, (usually a larger male) will seemingly appear to mediate the tank. I've had similar situations happen in my aquarium. What I've found is that the fish may not actually care about the other fish themselves, he just will not welcome any additional...

    Dragon gobies

Dragon Gobies, are pretty neat fish. With time, they should become more active, but keep in mind that they are not very active fish. They should also be kept in a slightly brackish aquarium.

I would go. There are numerous technological advancements on the ship, so it's quite unlikely to sink.

How often can I do Water Changes

I don't see any problem with doing a 60, or even 80% water change on your aquarium, as long as you replace the lost water with a water conditioner.

    Our fish shipment

I attempted to look up their conservation status, and it says they weren't evaluated.

Do all blood parrots lose their orange as they get older?

The fish will only loose their color, if they are dyed, and it fades over time. Otherwise, if their color fades, it would be due to a poor diet, or water conditions.
