For a pair of flower horn you'd want a 150 or bigger. Discus would do well in that tank if you keep the water clean! Discus and a sunshine could definitely work for most if not all of the sunshines life.

For a pair of flower horn you'd want a 150 or bigger. Discus would do well in that tank if you keep the water clean! Discus and a sunshine could definitely work for most if not all of the sunshines life.
Maybe start with four young green terror, Jaguar cichlid or macaw cichlid or for something smaller hemichromis (jewels), firemouths or angels and let them pair up.
You would need to be able to move on the extras and of course any offspring.
The plec will be fine to start with but you will always need to be aware that the plec may need to be rehomed depending on how aggressive you go with the cichlid.

Depending on genetics, care and time oscars can range from 12-18 inches. You'll see huge ones in public aquariums.
Might want to pick one species. Jd and gt look too similar and may fight.
I was at the Petco today, and in their 120 tank, one of their employees had donated 1 of 2 of their Oscars. They were keeping them both in a 75, the one that was donated was about 12”. But, I’ve seen bigger one’s before so I know they get pretty big. All these big cichlids feel very complicated with their different Temperaments and looks, and size; so I may just go with a community instead. However, I’m still looking for Cichlid ideas in case I find one I really like. Also, I could either get a 95 Gallon (60x18x20) or the 120 Gallon. (48x24x24) Which one do you think would be better for larger cichlids and the Sunshine Pleco?
Extra water volume is better in this case, the extra foot won’t really change what can go in imo.
