330 gallon setup and sump build

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
So I managed to score this on Craigslist 100 gallon SeaClear acrylic tank for a sump people selling it were moving and put it up for $100 to get it out. Snagged it as soon as they posted the ad. I got lucky since 15 other people contacted them for it right after me. Waiting for the rest of my stuff to get here now to get moving View attachment 1256204 View attachment 1256205

Thanks dude I'm pretty excited it's almost here. Heaters should be here tomorrow along with a couple other things. Might do the filter socks a little different then yours. The tank has slots on the top of the tank towards the back that I might hang them side by side and have a hose run off of the tee fitting after the gate valve into another tee and down into the bags. I'll show you what I mean when I get the stuff.

Also which bags should I get from McMaster car ? Doing 7"

7 x 16 inch socks is what I use. 150 and 200 micron. I run 4 of em.

It's all coming together. Some plumbing stuff came in today. Reordered the matrix from a different source so that came in along with the mesh bags. Also picked up 7 pieces of manzanita from a local guy for $50 which are all over 32"

Almost all of the plumbing fittings are here. Just gotta get a couple odds and ends at Home Depot and then I'm good to go. This spears gate valve is pretty beefy. Last thing I'm waiting on is filter sock holders. I made a mistake and still had my old address listed on my eBay account so they got delivered there. Should get them tomorrow since they guy took them back to the post officeIMG_3037.JPG
