Heavy load cycle in 5 days? I need to do something like that. Will dump a bunch of sponge filters in my 180g

LOL nope it's a 6x3. We are going to rebuild an extra tank for a bunch of geo grow outs. That and it was super fun ripping a 3D background out of that setup...

I wish I could rip out the backround on my tank. Was it a real p.i.t.a ? Do allot of damage to the acrylic ?

I’ve kind of learned this about JK he won’t do it unless it’s extremely difficult for reg people to do it kind of like a personal challenge haha

Haha this is true Dloks Dloks .. pushing it is a niche in the hobby I really enjoy. J jaws7777 it was so much fun that I didn’t realize how bad I should have worn ray handling gloves, it’s sharp. Would be stoked to do it again though.

Removing it scratched the acrylic quite a bit but nothing wasnt being buffed anyway.

Yes sir. It’s easy if you have a system to it. I moved over .33 cubic feet of cycled K1 the day after wringing out the sponges. Sponges don’t run with air until 48 hours later to force other filters to pick up the particulate/establish without a crutch.

Nitrite is always the longest part for some reason but the cycled K1 helps cut that down to 48 hours vs the usual 4-5 days without.

Your 8mm twin wall (link #3) or my 6mm twin wall should be rigid enough to support that weight no problem as long as it's edge supported. It's pretty stiff material because of the channels. Heck it's used in greenhouse roofs on a 4 foot span between supports!

BTW, I used a new utility knife blade to cut the 6mm TW PC no problem. No need for a fine tooth circular saw or jig saw.

Good looking out on those lids. Thanks again Dee.
