75g Geophagus, Apistogramma, Tetras and Plecos

They are def more aggressive than folks give them credit for. Particularly on a batch of eggs. If you're looking for a "Geo type" fish in a 75, try guinacara. They're a little tougher to find & not as colorful, but a good looking fish as an adult. Wait until you get a 6ft tank to try those red heads again. They look better in a larger group anyways IMO

Yeah I believe it was aggression... I was gone all day and come how to the three males laying on the bottom and they passed later that night. Seemed to be once they removed the eggs from the driftwood they got more aggressive. Now to figure out what to do with the left over female.
 
The only thing out of ordinary I can think about is that I left a dim light on for them all night so the Plecos wouldn’t eat the eggs... I don’t think this would cause them to die...?
