Adding a second Silver Arowana

Hey MFK

I currently have a 13 inch silver arowana in a 400 gallon tank and a mate of mine would like to get rid of a 17 inch silver arowana

Would they be fine together in the same tank or would it just be a death threat?
I have read that a few fights will happen but because of dominance and a few scales will go missing but would it turn out worse than that?

Will they eventually get along?

Thats a bummer...I have a RTC that outgrew my tank..So my mate is giving me the Arowana for the RTC which is a pretty good deal here in South Africa

17" getting toward good age.. usually it's the ballpark 12" size that like to fight a lot. 400g is sweet they have plenty space in there so should be good. if u wait maybe few more months would be better + add some tree in there if u don't wanna add other tankmate.

I have added the 17" into the tank and all looks good,fingers crossed it will stay that way

Hey my 17” Arowana not eating since I put him into the tank..What could be the problem?

Could he just be settling in?
And he is not very active, just floats around in one corner most of the day
