Am I the only one?

None of my friends keep fish (I did have a friend that around 10 years ago kept a 2ft tank, had it for about 5 months then gave up). Its got to a point where I dont tell people of my hobby, unless they specifically ask or something. The strange looks I got at uni when I asked if there was anywhere I could buy sand from....that didn't go down too well.

My Dad used to keep fish when he was a kid, though hasn't had a tank in decades. My uncle got me started in fish keeping when he got a tank for me as a christmas present, though he also went out of the hobby after about half a year.
 
damn. A lot of my family members have tanks of their own. Grandmother, uncle, Aunts... and my dad brings in his goldfish from his pond for the winter.
 
I had my first tank in my room when i was 5 years old. Raphael Catfish, kuhlie loach, and breeding molllies in my 10G.

Then i got my 55G from my uncle, when he bought his Reef Ready 92G corner bowfront.
 
cool, i started about ten years old with my paper route money, bought a ten gallon at the pet store and carried it home on my bike, my mother gave me trouble but my dad thought it was cool. On and off for 37 years now, but no more red devils for me ,they are way too mean.
 
my family and girlfriend hate it... only person that likes it sorta is my twin sis cause i bought he her own fish to at least shut her up
 
i pretty am the only one an nephew recently set up his tank again people love to see my fish great topic starter
 
i get made fun of at school every time i mention fish to ANYONE!
 
My good friend and sister are the only ones who have tanks besides me. Now that I got mine all set up and going, everyone is saying they should get one. Go figure.
 
Im alone in the hobby as well friends don't care about it and parents think its good for me but only have 2 tanks and they think that to much and won't let me get any more tanks. Even with my money?
