Am I the only one?

My husband is also really into fish and a couple of our friends and my mother in law used to be, but overall not many.
i have one friend that has a 10 gallon with mollies, but...
i get called a geek a lot lmao. just cause i like fish

*hand raised* My wife is the only one I have to talk to, and she eventually gets tired of it.....
i was the only one i really knew who had one, then i got a couple more tanks and everyone thought i was crazy, but then i gave my g/f one of my tanks for her house, and my brother bougth a 55 for fish, then he bought a couple more tanks, and now my g/fs lil sister wants a big fish tank so i think my little hobby is speading, all this is over only a couple years
tell me about it
my cousins think i am a nut job and nephews and niece are all in awe
and my parents just don't say anything other than "why would you want such a big tank when you already have so many tanks(upgrades)

have been trying to get one of my cousin into piranhas
and recently gifted one of my nephews a 40g tank and a pair of jewel chiclids hoping that someday they would learn he ish keeping way like us

No one around here keeps any fish either. They all think I'm nuts for spending so much time and money on them but they do like to look at my 120 g reef tank and my stingrays in the 300 g. I'm still small potatoes compared to some of you guys.

I too am the only one in my family and among my friends. Good news is that many of my students are now converts and have convinced their parents that keeping monster fish is indeed a good thing. There's hope for the future!
Im basically the only one out of my friends that has an interest in this great hobby, oh but i have one of my brother in law that also likes to keep fish.. he now has a nice pond with Japanese koi's! Other than that... you guys are my only other fish keeping friends!
I don't know anybody who knows sh8t about fish. It sucks. This forums is good because I can talk to fellow fishkeepers, but I really would like to know a fishkeeper. Man, if I ever met somebody who knew what a cichlid was...or knew to not keep a goldfish in a bowl...I would be very happy.
