let me say this..granted my filtration isnt the best..but any system that filters its water 3x no matter what size the tank is pretty damn extreme.
and you say that we dont know you..and how much you did for this trade.

i stopped keeping rays a year before you even joined this site. I had a 6 ****ing year ray career before you were even around.
But honestly i am not going to sit back and say the things that i said before about what i did to pave the way for YOU DB..

This isn't a contest to see who had rays first. Generally forums like this are for people to become more educated about the animals we keep.
My point was I could sit in front of my tanks and enjoy them day in and day out and in 10 years join a forum and discuss the good old days but what is anyone going to gain from it? Nothing.
My point was some people contribute to this site thier own real world experiences, right or wrong. The people new to rays gain from this. The drama around here drives those same people away.
Does no good to have a forum full of people that have kept rays for decades if nobody can learn squat from it.
If you have decades of experience under your belt then use it for good instead of just bringing up drama.
You have a great way of over dramatizing stuff. I never laughed or trolled you in the filtration thread. I jumped on you cause you were giving a mod a hard time. Not sure where you come from, but I've never seen a forum for anything where this is considered "acceptable". Granted you're right, was none of my business, but when it's a mod that has taught us all here quite a bit, then it seemed OK. For that I apologize. All I said about your filtration was that it seemed overcomplicated. Seems most people keeping rays strive for the other end of the spectrum which isn't complicated at all. I also said what YOU consider "extreme" may differ from others interpretation of it. If you were trying to offer something up that people could learn from why not take pics and post the whole build process?
Feel free to share some pics with us of your old rays or setups..... Evolution is a beautiful thing and I'm sure keeping rays as long as you have you had to have seen some pretty crazy stuff. I enjoy looking back on MFK at some of the sad setups I used to run, man things change.
