Yeah, the spring perches and shock mounts would need to be changed. The bracket for the no longer existant track bar could be removed, too. There are cheap ways to lift a cherokee, too. He could get coil spring spacers for the front and lift blocks for the rears. Cheap 2 inch lift. Or, he could cut out the fenders, slap on a set of TJ flares and a set of 31's. The latter would probably be the best bang for the buck.

Toyota's are some of the best wheelin machines from what I hear. Strong axles, I knew a guy who had 40's on an older one with stock axles. While I had a grand cherokee that would cring at 33's..
