Anyone on MFK Hunt?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Full auto is banned in the entire us unless you have a federal permit. The only thing Ca has banned are outright assult rifles and of course the Barret cal .50 ...

The ak47....AR15/M16 class of weapon are great for touching off a lot of rounds in a given direction but are basicly worthless in a true accuracy role.

Dont ask me how he got them, He is an Ex SWAT, now Retired Police Officer. But he has them. From what my dad has told me, he RARELYA ever shoots them, basicly keeps them locked in a safe and only takes them out for cleaning.

I really want to get more guns, Been thinking of getting a Mosin Nagant, as I could aquire one for about $75-89 bucks. Was also thinking of getting my mom a Ruger .22 as I could aquire one for cheap and whenever I talk about guns she tells stories of when she was younger how she used to shoot .22's all the time and whatnot.

Also beein thinking about getting an SKS cheap guns I could get quick. Trying to find more info about Zastava M70's as I've heard you can get semi-auto's for pretty cheap, found out about the M70's when on a gun forum I sometimes go to someone asked about a Ruger M13 and was told for the price of a Ruger m13 he could most likely purchase two semi-auto M70's, or a WASR Ak.

i went on a quick little hunting trip in alaska for some grouse with a shotgun, didnt find anything. :(

It's a very unfortunate fact of life that in most cases you actully get LESS than you pay for....something to concider..

100% untrue. The Stoner design is a very accurate platform. In many cases far more accurate then "huntin" guns.

For the guy with an uncle that has FA AK-47s. Do you know how much a legal REAL AK-47 is worth? Id say somewhere around $50,000. Does you uncle realize that?

From what little I know of them, They could have been sold. I havent seen them in over 5 years. I was told that he had to pay yearly fee's for both guns that were getting outrageous, mind you, that was 5+ years ago. So, I have no idea if he still has them in his possesion, and I dont really have meens to find out if he still has them in his possesion.

Anyways, What do you guys think of Mosin Nagants? I've browesed the net, and visited a few Nagant forums and what not to see what people think, but you cant really get a good idea of how a Nagant is when the forum is for Nagant owners, as its pretty obviouse the people that have joined a forum for Nagants, are going to say itts the best, blah blah blah.

I'm just trying to figure out if it would be a good buy. I'm not going to be doing and hunting with it, just target, going to the range, etc. Just a gun to shoot for fun. It seems like a good choice, its a stable gun for a good price and from the searching I've done on the net, if something does happen to it, replacement parts can easily be bought without much hassle.

Also wondering, Has anyone here had a chance to shoot a Zastava M70? I've found SA modles for sale and was justr wondering a bit about them, also wondering slightly about WASR S/A AK47/74's. ;)

Mosins are fun guns. I commonly see them for $50 or so at gun shows. They kick like a mule and can be a burden to shoot for long periods of time. Some are accurate some just so-so.

The M-70s you most likely are referring to as well as the WASR are semi-auto AKM-47 NOT AK-47 style rifles built by Century arms in Georgia, VT. The WASR is a weapon built strictly for commercial sales in the U.S. from the bottom up. The M-70s were originally built for the Yugoslavian military and were full-auto, but they were de-milled and Century put the parts (barrel, trunions, gas tube, handguards, stock, ect) on a Semi-Auto receiver and with a semi-auto fire control group. Century craftsmanship isnt really top quality so make sure you closely inspect your rifle before purchasing.

I would avoid anything that shoots 7.62x39 with the way ammo prices are now a days. Two years ago I could buy a case (1000rounds) of 7.62x39mm for $80-90. Now I would consider my self lucky if I could find a case for less then $225! :WHOA:
