I think there are some members from uk who have wels with a permit. They may be able to help / ID. Pics would be nice too. Oh, how about changing name of thread to 'Wels not eating' or something like that.

I'm sure oscar n redtail can back me up on this.. that is not a wels.. that is a "brown shark". much similar to the wels but not illegal.. lucky you..

keeping conditions are pretty much the same as a wels though..

It doesn't look too skinny yet so no worries.. It will probably eat in time given the right care and some love! try earthworms

form the looks of it it isent a wels but a leerigue leerie (spelling) some 1 will crorect me they get around 4ft i think ??? not sure
