Best cichlid for a 150?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Online vendors have made it possible to get most fish. Some of the uncommon fish would include

lyonsi(endangered in the wild)
la ceiba freddys (endangered in the wild)
istlanum (not sure if they are becoming endangered but i know there are becoming harder to get)
grammodes(very rare to see adults)
trimacs(not uncommon but they are just awesome)
veja species (becoming very popular and are real beastly fish) (i love redhead cichlids)
Festaes (Not so uncommon anymore but the most wanted fish among hobbyist)
Loiselli cichlid (parachromis species rule and anyone will tell you they are the top species to keep)
I'M SURE OTHERS CAN ADD TO THIS LIST TO HELP YOU OUT.

Thank you. Ill check all of them out.

Id love to have a pbass. I just sold mine since my plans for a larger tank have been put on hold.

You might want to consider a Bandit Cichlid, they are rather uncommon, are mild mannered and be kept with others. Grammodes, not common either.

The others are as above.

Good luck

I have an idea! Rare-uncommon in hobby, Suits the tank..just..wet pet fun to watch and everything! a xanthic jaguar ;D not easy to find but lol fits everything you stated imho!

if it was me I would go with another flowerhorn or red devil mainly due to the fact they are like dogs in water imho My flower horn is also the favorite amongst friends until she bites them :D never seen such an angry fish in my life but at the same time so gentle with certain people!

well you wouldnt have FH if it wasnt for trimacs. The hybrid destroyed the trimac sales in lfs. Nothing beats a pure bred fish
