I mean look at dogs, we crop ears, dock tails (Not sure thats the right word) and remove dew claws... How is this any different?
..still cruel...just because people do it to dogs does not mean its ok to do to fish as well.
Dew claws can cause problems with some breeds and do need to be removed.
tails and ears do not....but thats not the point

im almost 100% sure that the OP is just a Troll.

STOP CUTTING YOUR FISH!!! let it be how its going to be and if you don't like the way it looks get rid of it. i'm sure someone else would LOVE to own it.

the OP never ask ur opinion, what is wrong with your people, what he did simply posting what he did and he is happy because brought him good result.
i would do the same to my aro but no im not doing it because mine is healthy :headbang2

And you fail at the English language.
Please show me how I "fail at life" from posting: "This is an internet forum.
The whole idea is based upon people expressing their OPINIONS."

You are getting pretty desperate now.

I think people are overreacting. It's not conventional, but fins and barbels will usually grow back without any problems. Are there even any nerve endings in fins, does anyone know?

Not something I would do, but he's not the Hannibal Lecter you make him out to be.
yes they have nerve endings in their fins

my fish WAS sick but he IS healthy now, u can call me troll or whatever u call, because im dealing with atleast one.
yes i fail at english unlike the natives then again its my third language :headbang2

back on topic im sure the OP knows what he is doing and i cant wait to see the result and i will stop polluting his thread.

I dont know why you are taking it so bad . All I did is cut some fins that where disfigured after all on suggestion from this website. I also dont understand all the idoits and trolls that where flaming with out trying to help me out and instead where just talking BS. If some one thinks I dont know what im doing for your information I have been looking after fish for a long time and before doing this I done lots of research. This post was for those who have the same problem and maybe it might help them. Here are some pics with the arowana now with the fins cut off and when they will grow back I will put new pics of the fish for who ever is intrested =).And as you can see in the pics the pectoral fins which where disfigured have grown back all ready.I think the fish had disfigured fins because it was kept in a small tank with a lot of other arowanas so they bashed with each other so its not a genitical thing hopefully like the pectoral fins.
