I am pretty sure the Dutch are one of the more acceptable people in this world. We have to take crap like this all the time and have to be careful about what we say all the time because it might be offensive.
All while at the same time muslims continue to claim their so-called rights like slaughtering animals like a caveman with a knife or however they do it.

People of "non-western" descent are labeled "allochtoon", not only by the white society, but also by law.
Foreigners from western countries are labeled allochtoon as well, we just call it western allochtoon and non-western allochtoon.

Have to agree with you here, I am derailing a bit too much by blaming others for their behaviour.
But I already defended my point a couple of times. I said it's a tradition and you shouldn't live in a country if you get offended by their traditions. And you certainly shouldn't start to try and change them.
And okay let's assume that black petes are really blacks from Africa for example.
So what? they are his servants not his slaves.
People should just get over it and not think too much about it.

Yes I do keep harping about the UN. It's not their business but they have too much power that if they would have decided that it is too racist then that would just be the end of it.
Her opinion is the same as mine. She is not even a bit offended by it. As a matter of fact, she was just asking me yesterday to go see the arrival of Sinterklaas with her daughter in Amsterdam.
