Just wondering if these two guys could get along in a 90 gallon tank. My Escondido Carpintis is about 8" already. Haven't added the Veija yet but i like the way they look theyre some badass lookin guys. Anyway let me know what y'all think. Sure do appreciate it.

Although they might get along, a 90G is too small for both fish. I had a large Synspilum in my 90G and he quickly grew way too big for it. Have you thought of trying a female Carpintis? They are gorgeous in breeding colors.

I have my hybrid Syn, a carpintis, a midas and a green terror all living rather peacefully in a 180

I've. Thought about it, problem is my lfs can't really tell me which ones are male and female. The only reason I know mine is a guy, is because he has tried to breed with a female convict. Once that started happening I quickly separated them lol. If you guys have any pointers on how to sex carpintis that sure would mean alot. I frigging love carpintis especially blue like mine is

I agree that a syn will grow too big for a 90 gallon. The carpintis would be ok though. I kept mine in a 55 with a school of tiger barbs with no issues. But that's just my experience. Yours may vary.
