Also are Carpintis known for being tank rearrangers like Amphs? He likes to push his plant around once and a while and I found him picking at the heater today while doing a water change.
Surprisingly he doesn’t really move the gravel around too much. One time he dug out the gravel right to the bottom of the tank but since then not too much. Just likes to push his plant around. Im curious, what’s the growth like on a cyanoguttatus? Fairly slow like the Carpintis? I know they get slightly bigger. My male Cyano used to never stop digging and rearranging in my 125 community, maybe cause him and his female were constantly trying to spawn. Biggest digger was my Buttikoferi, even more so than the Amphs and Parachromis I’ve had.

Wow, pretty similar growth. Any pics of the pair? I’d love to see them. Not sure tbh, my male topped out at 9 inches in 3 years and female around 7, could be that their growth slowed due to spawning. I guess the average would be around half an inch a month with ideal water changes (excluding power feeding). Tbh I still don’t think they’d grow as fast as my Oscar or Buttikoferi if they weren’t breeding.
I’ll see if I can find pictures of them somewhere. They both passed away to dropsy sadly.Wow, pretty similar growth. Any pics of the pair? I’d love to see them.
That sucks.? I’m sure they were both stunners.I’ll see if I can find pictures of them somewhere. They both passed away to dropsy sadly.
